Hiromitsu Kitayama Joins TOBE

Another former Johnny & Associates talent has moved to TOBE: former Kis-My-Ft2 member Hiromitsu Kitayama. He joins former Johnnys Ken Miyake, Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinjugi, IMP., and Ritsuki Ohigashi at Hideaki Takizawa‘s new company.

Hiromitsu left Kis-My-Ft2 and Johnny & Associates on August 31. “I’ve been in the entertainment industry for 21 years, and in a time where the world is rapidly changing, I want to try more things and start a second life,” he said of joining TOBE in a YouTube video announcement, which aired on his 38th birthday.

During the video, he vowed to do his best at TOBE. He also revealed that the suit that he wore in the video was a gift from another former Johnny, Masahiro Nakai. He thanked him during the video. He also revealed that he recently ate Italian food with his former groupmates Toshiya Miyata and Yuta Tamamori.

Regarding his future activities, Hiromitsu said that he would like to be involved in music production, such as writing lyrics and composing. In regards to concerts, he said that he would like to have them, not solely because he wants to, but because his fans support him enough that he is able to, for which he is thankful. Besides musical activities, he would to work in television, movies, and online, such as hosting a show. He also wants to pass on what he’s learned in his time in the industry onto the next generation of TOBE acts.

He also spoke of expanding his activities into Asia, including things like concerts and events.

Hiromitsu has opened Instagram and Twitter accounts, and a new fanclub, which fans from around the world can join!
