Shunji Iwai to release new movie “Kyrie no Uta” starring AiNA THE END, Hokuto Matsumura, Haru Kuroki, and Suzu Hirose

The mastermind director behind films such as “Love Letter” and “All About Lily Chou-Chou”, Shunji Iwai has revealed that he will be back with a new film “Kyrie no Uta” this coming Fall. It has been described as a musical film depicting four characters who live their lives to the fullest while being tossed about by the times and society. Main cast members that have been revealed include Aina the End (BiSH), Hokuto Matsumura (SixTONES), Hara Kuroki, and Suzu Hirose. “Kyrie no Uta” will be Aina’s first time starring in a movie, and not only will she play the protagonist (a street musician) she will also be in charge of writing songs for the film. In the past Iwai has also collaborated with musicians through his works such as Chara in “Swallowtail.”

On the same day as the announcement teaser visuals and video have also been released. The visual graphic design was created by art director Yuni Yoshida, and the photos were taken by Hideaki Hamada. Check it out below and stay tuned for more updates!
