The 2024 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place April 12-14 and 19-21 in Indio, California. YOASOBI, Hatsune Miku, and Atarashii Gakko were all part of the festival’s original lineup, but two more Japanese acts have now been added.
Number_i and Awich have now been added to the festival’s lineup! Both acts will appear at the festival on April 14 as part of 88rising’s “88rising Futures” stage. YOASOBI and Atarashii Gakko will also perform at this stage in addition to their previously booked ones.
Upon the news of being added to the Coachella lineup, Number_i said, “Performing at Coachella, the world’s most prestigious festival, is one of Number_i’s dreams. We will be participating in ’88rising Futures.’ Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful opportunity! We’ll blow you away!”
Of performing at Coachella, Awich said that she was filled with excitement and gratitude to perform at the “88rising Futures” stage. She is honored to be part of stage that shows contemporary Asian artists, and hopes to show everyone what is happening in the Japanese hip hop scene currently.
