With the East Coast con season now truly in swing, Anime NYC has decided to really deliver this year with a jam packed amazing line up of content.
Here are some of the editor’s picks for 2024 panels as they currently stand a month prior to the convention.
- Day Zero special
- Thursday 8:00 PM COWBOY BEBOP 25th Anniversary Concert – The Music Feat. The Sinfonietta Nearly two generations of American television fans and music lovers have come of age listening to the composer Yoko Kanno’s deceptively funky, wildly eclectic soundtrack Cowboy Bebop. Utilizing a hash of jazz, classical, country, reggae, prog rock, and art pop motifs, Yoko Kanno’s sound meshed perfectly with the masterful storytelling of Director Shinichi Watanabe. Now’s your chance to party with Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and Ein at this celebration of all things Cowboy Bebop! The Sinfonietta, an acclaimed all-woman and majority women-of-color orchestra led by conductor Macy Schmidt, will lay down the tracks and tear up the starways with live scored screening of scenes from the Anime, symphonic renditions of Yoko Kanno’s classics, and more big surprises!
- One of the little known facts was that over half the recording cast of the original Cowboy Bebop soundtrack were from the home of jazz internationally – New York City. The work has come back with this amazing ensemble, with a group that has done opening ceremonies for no less than prestigious events such as the Tony Awards. This particular event is likely to be an absolute blast.

- Not only are mixed format panels featuring vtubers and other guests fun, J-Novel Club is also the publisher behind the work Vtuber Legend, which hints at possible details about this upcoming anime series as well.
