XG Becomes the First Japanese Girl Group to Enter US Pop Radio’s Top 40

“LEFT RIGHT” by 7 member Hip-hop and R&B girl group XG has officially entered the top 40 of the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, making them the first Japanese girl group to do so. The song was able to record a tracking period play count of 502 in the past week, successfully debuting at #40.

After debuting under AVEX subsidiary XGALX in March of 2022, XG are currently based in South Korea, but identify as a global group and sing in English in order to convey the message of their songs to a larger audience, as English is the most widely used language in the world.
