It was announced on November 11 that X JAPAN‘s bassist HEATH passed away from colon cancer at the age of 55 on October 29. In the days preceding the announcement, there were reports on the media about his death, despite the fact that there was no official announcement of his death.
HEATH was diagnosed with colon cancer in June, and was fighting the disease. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse in October. In was admitted to a hospital, where he died on October 29.
On X JAPAN’s official site, the band stated that there will be a farewell party for HEATH at a later date. YOSHIKI, the band’s drummer and pianist, will be in charge of this event, per HEATH’s request.
