The Recording Industry Association of Japan has announced the winners of this year’s edition of “The Japan Gold Disc Award.” These awards are based on sales from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. Snow Man won Artist of the Year in the Japanese category for the third year in a row. For the third consecutive year, they also won awards for Best 5 Albums (Japanese), Best 5 Singles (two awards), Music Video of the Year in the Japanese category, and Best 3 Music Videos (two awards).
Travis Japan won New Artist of the Year in the Japanese category, along with Best 5 New Artists (Japanese). Other winners in the latter category were XG, Natori, MAZZEL, and LIL LEAGUE.
