The Recording Industry Association of Japan has announced the winners of this year’s edition of “The Japan Gold Disc Award.” These awards are based on sales from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. Snow Man won Artist of the Year in the Japanese category for the second year in a row. For the second consecutive year, they also won awards for Album of the Year, Best 5 Albums (Japanese), Best 5 Singles (two awards), and Best 3 Music Videos. They also won Music Video of the Year in the Japanese category.
OCHA NORMA won New Artist of the Year in the Japanese category, along with Best 5 New Artists (Japanese). Other winners in the latter category were &TEAM, Kuzuha, MAISONdes, and ROF-MAO.
