Trailer Released for Netflix Adaptation of “Kimi ni Todoke”

On March 30, Netflix’s drama adaptation of Shiina Karuho‘s manga “Kimi ni Todoke” will debut on the streaming service worldwide. It tells the story of the love between high school girl Kuronuma Sawako, called Sadako like the character from “Ring” due to her gloomy appearance, and her popular classmate Kazehaya Shota.

This will be the second live action adaptation of the manga, following the 2010 film version starring Tabe Mikako and Miura Haruma. In this new drama version, Minami Sara and Suzuka Oji will star. Starring alongside them are Sakurai Kaito, Kumada Rinka, Nakamura Riho, Toda Naho, Hirayama Hiroyuki, Miura Shohei, Suzuki Jin, Inukai Atsuhiro, Kanon, Suzuki Kosuke, Yasui Junpei, Mabuchi Erika, and  Sugitomo Tetta.

Kawasaki Takaya‘s new song “Ai no Uta” will serve as the drama’s theme.

The English-subbed trailer for the new “Kimi no Todoke” has now been released and can be seen below!
