STARTO ENTERTAINMENT has announced that they have terminated the contract of Shuto Inomata of timelesz, effective as of September 30.
Shuto’s banishment from the group and company comes in light of his recent arrest for punching a woman.
After the incident, the company interviewed Shuto about what occurred. It was found that he had committed a serious breach of his contract, which constituted grounds for termination per said contract. It was decided on September 29, during a meeting of the board of directors, that Shuto’s contract would be terminated.
Shuto is still under investigation by legal authorities, with no criminal charges yet finalized.
STARTO stressed that the remaining members of timelesz were not involved in this decision, nor were they aware of Shuto’s violent nature. The group accepts the company’s decision.
STARTO apologized for the inconvenience this incident has caused, saying that they will stress to talents that activities in the entertainment industry can only be carried out with the support of fans and other stakeholders.
The company also asked that the public refrains from excessive media coverage and defamation of Shuto and the victim.
