Spotify Releases Its 2023 Year End Charts

Today, Spotify released its year end charts for 2023.

The charts were divided into two parts: Japan and overseas.

Starting with the Japan part, the most played artist in Japan on Spotify in 2023 is Mrs. GREEN APPLE. YOASOBI’s “Idol” is the most played song. Yuuri‘s “Ichi” is the most played album for the second consecutive year. JO1 is the most shared artist on social media.

Overseas, the most played Japanese artist on Spotify in 2023 is YOASOBI, their third year in a row topping this ranking. Fujii Kaze‘s “Shinunoga E-Wa” is the most played song for the second consecutive year.

Spotify also broke down the top three Japanese songs in the US, France, South Korea, Indonesia, India, and Brazil, as well as the top five most played Japanese songs overseas from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. Check them out below!
