On March 19, SixTONES will release their 14th single, “Barrier.” The song serves as theme song for the film adaptation of the manga “Ojo to Banken-kun.” The film stars SixTONES member Jesse.
As the title suggests, he plays the bodyguard of a young woman. Keeping the film’s plot in mind, “Barrier” has the theme of protecting the one that you love. The song is a blend of rock and rap, with a fast-paced band sound, a signature of SixTONES.
“Barrier” will be released in three editions: CD+DVD Limited Edition, CD only Regular Edition, and CD+DVD MTV Unplugged Edition. The last edition features both audio and video footage from SixTONES’ performance on “MTV Unplugged” last December. It included the group performing covers of Justin Beiber and The Chainsmokers.
