Shosei Ohira to Leave JO1 & LAPONE

It has been announced that Shosei Ohira of JO1 will leave the group and the its management company LAPONE ENTERTAINMENT on May 31 after terminating his contract.

Shosei has been on hiatus since October of last year after violating the company’s compliance policy. During his hiatus, his future activities were discussed several times, with him making a certain request in regards to them. It was later decided that his contract would be terminated.

On JO1’s official site, Shosei left a message in which he apologized, saying “I deeply regret causing so much trouble to all the JAMs due to my own shortcomings and immaturity.” He continued, “Although we will be walking different paths from now on, I will cherish the experiences I have had so far and move forward without forgetting my gratitude.” He added, “Meeting JO1 and all the JAMs is a treasure I will cherish for a lifetime. I love the members and all the JAMs. Thank you so, so much.”
