Netflix has announced that it will exclusively live stream STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s New Year’s Eve countdown concert, “COUNTDOWN CONCERT 2026-2027 STARTO to WORLD”, globally on December 31.
This year marks countdown’s 30th anniversary, and through Netflix’s live stream people around the world will be able to enjoy the concert in real time from Japan for the first time.
“COUNTDOWN CONCERT 2026-2027 STARTO to WORLD” is Netflix’s first Japanese music live event and its first ever worldwide live stream of a year end countdown concert.
STARTO and Netflix have previously collaborated for 2024’s “WE ARE! Let’s get the party STARTO!!” and last year’s “COUNTDOWN CONCERT 2025-2026 STARTO to MOVE”, as well as its behind the scenes companion piece, “Behind the STARTO to MOVE.”
Beyond the concert on December 31, STARTO and Netflix will produce and exclusively stream a pre-show program leading up to the concert and a behind the scenes program following it. From the artist lineup announcement to the main show and what happens behind it, viewers will see the concert from several different angles, including glimpses of the artists that won’t appear in the main broadcast.

●An intimate look at the preparation, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes work for the stage. This will show the process of building the countdown concert and the artists’ faces behind the scenes of the main show.
