On November 28, Ae! group will launch their new documentary series, “BORDERLESS Ae! group Debut Tour no Uragawa” on Netflix in Japan. International release dates will soon follow and are to be announced.
Following their debut single “《A》BEGINNING” in May 2024, Ae! group embarked on an eight city nationwide tour, “Ae! group Debut Tour ～Sekai de Ichiban Ae LIVE～, drawing an audience of 370,000. With the four episode “BORDERLESS Ae! group Debut Tour no Uragawa”, fans around the world can follow this journey.
“BORDERLESS Ae! group Debut Tour no Uragawa” serves as a follow up to the group’s Netflix documentary series from earlier this year, “BORDERLESS Ae! group Debut Made no Kiseki.”
Of the new show, group member Yoshinori Masakado said, “On behalf of the five of us in Ae! group, I am very excited to be part of another Netflix project this year. The response from viewers both here in Japan and overseas to the original BORDERLESS documentary was very touching, and we sincerely appreciate the comments, fan letters, and overall reactions from those who got to know us for the first time or just a little bit better through it.”
“To be honest, I’m really looking forward to watching this new edition to the BORDERLESS series myself! It may seem strange since the show is about us, but getting to see from a third person point of view what the always-present camera was catching during our tour is very enlightening, if not a bit embarrassing,” he said with a laugh.
He continued, “I am very grateful both to everyone at Netflix and our agency’s hardworking production staff for pulling this together, and even more so to all our fans for the love and support that makes these special projects possible!”
