LDH recently released a set of rules for fans of the company’s acts, particularly in regards to portrait rights and copyright.
The infographic opens with the following statement:
Recently, we found that many people are ignoring the right of portrait and the copyright. These people are posting images and videos of our artists and products on social network sites and personal websites or making merchandise items with these images. In order to let people who always support us enjoy LDH’s entertainment comfortably, we will make a clear explanation and answer the questions you sent to us!
The full set of rules can be seen here.
As an aside, I will share my experience of what happened last June when I visited the EXILE TRIBE STATION goods shop in Tokyo. I took some photos while in the shop, before I was instructed by staff not to do so. Looking at this new set of rules, which allows fans to “Take photos of jackets and posters of CDs, cover photos of magazines and photo books and billboard photos and then post or use it as one’s profile picture”, I question why I wasn’t allowed to take photos in the shop.
