KEY TO LIT is set to debut under Universal Music this winter!
The announcement was made during a live stream tonight at the Tokyo temple Zojo-ji. The live stream was from the set of their music video for the song “KEY 2 LIGHT.” The song is the theme song for TV Tokyo’s table tennis programming, and marks the group’s first tie-in. KEY TO LIT also serve as special ambassadors for TV Tokyo’s table tennis coverage. “KEY 2 LIGHT” is described as a song that matches the speed and energy of table tennis, and encourages players to victory.
The actual announcement was a dramatic presentation that featured projection mapping. During the announcement, KEY TO LIT expressed joy, hugging each other.
At the press conference after the announcement, group member Soya Igari said that KEY TO LIT will work hard to become a group that surpasses SMAP and Arashi. Group member Taisho Iwasaki said that they hope to have a dome concert within three to five years, wih his groupmate Taiko Sasaki saying they should aim for later this year.
