Increased AC Japan Ads During Music Station Spark Outcry

As the Asahi TV Music Station 3 Hour SP wrapped up, people online started talking about the overabundance of AC Japan commercials. AC Japan, or Ad Council Japan, is a private non-profit that focuses specifically on public service announcements, typically for other non-profits or government organizations.

People specifically talked online about how they were surprised to see AC Japan‘s ads on the TV program, and there seemed to be quite a number of those ads as well. Some even commented that too many commercials like those reminded them of earthquake warning PSAs.

One possible explanation for the increase in such ads is the fact that many advertisers have pulled their commercials using Johnny’s talents off air, and that the absence of readily available advertising meant a portion of those stopped ads went to AC Japan advertising instead.
