Family Club Cancels New Year’s Eve Countdown Concert

There has been speculation as to whether Family Club would hold its annual New Year’s Eve countdown concert, formerly known as “Johnny’s Countdown.” Recently, Fuji TV said that they would not air the concert, even if it was to be held.

Family Club was now come out and said that the concert is indeed not taking place this year. The company is currently in a transitionary state, as they banish all remaining remnants of company founder Johnny Kitagawa from their branding, post his sexual abuse scandal.

The company apologized to fans for failing to meet their expectations, as many fans have been looking forward to the concert. The company thanked the fans for their unwavering support during this trying time, as well as to company staff who support their talents.

Fans of Family Club need not to be disillusioned. Even though the company’s talents are not on this year’s “NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen” for the first time in over 40 years, and the New Year’s Eve countdown concert in canceled, Snow Man will be holding a YouTube live on New Year’s Eve night.
