Akina Nakamori is currently celebrating the 43rd anniversary of her debut! As part of this celebration, a new tribute album, “Nakamori Akina Tribute Album ‘Meikyo'”, will be released. This album will see the likes of Ado, JUJU, Mika Nakashima, CHEMISTRY, and Toki Asako putting new spins on Akina’s songs.
While some of the covers, such as JUJU’s “DESIRE -Jonetsu-” and Tamaki Koji‘s “Southern Wind”, have previously been released, others, such as Ado’s “Jukkai (1984)” and CHEMISTRY’s “Meu amor é・・・”, are new.
“Nakamori Akina Tribute Album ‘Meikyo'” will come in two editions, with the limited edition containing a second CD featuring the original songs that are covered on the first CD.
