On May 29, tofubeats will release his new EP, “Angels On The Dancefloor.” This is his first original release since April 2024’s EP “NOBODY.”
This EP is composed of songs that tofubeats has been refining through playing them at events since the COVID-19 pandemic. This release has the concept of “J-CLUB”, a term that was used in Japanese CD shops from the 2000s to the 2010s, referring to Japanese club music that incorporates overseas house and techno trends, while maintaining a pop sensibility and accessibility. tofubeats has spent the past few years reinterpreting this “somewhat forgotten genre.”
“Angels On The Dancefloor” will feature an array of collaborations. The song “Don’t You Know My Love?” will feature vocals by Hitomitoi, while Shibata Satoko will appear as a featured guest on the song “Daijoubu.” This release will also feature remixes by KIRARA, Micolas Mangia, and Shinichiro Yokota.
