ELLY of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS Congratulates Trump Win, Then Deletes

On November 5, the United States Presidential Election was held, pitting Kamala Harris against Donald Trump. Moments after Trump was declared the presumptive winner, ELLY of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS tweeted out his supported, as seen below.

His tweet was immediately met with backlash from both domestic and international audiences. Many of those responding noted how Trump has been racist against both Asian and Black people, two groups which ELLY is part of given his mixed race heritage. Some also noted how Trump has been convicted of rape and is against abortion, issues that are important to his largely female fanbase.

The criticism of his support for Trump clearly took a toll, as ELLY deleted the tweet hours later.
