On October 23, Kato Miliyah and Shiina Ringo released the collaborative digital single “Aigyo.”
This collaboration came about after Miliyah, who is currently celebrating her 20th anniversary, made an offer to Ringo. Miliyah has great respect for Ringo, even releasing a cover of her 1999 hit “Honnou” on her 2020 cover album “COVERS -WOMAN & MAN-.”
Miliyah is in charge of lyrics for “Aigyo”, as well as composition along with Chaki Zulu and T.Kura. Chaki Zulu handled arrangement. The resulting song is a combination of hip hop, R&B, and pop. Of the lyrics, Miliyah says they have the theme of “I truly believe and love what I have learned and experienced through my life as an artist.”
The music video for “Aigyo” has now been released. The clip revolves around the duo working out in a sleek gym.
