Yamauchi Keisuke Releases MV for Shiina Ringo-Penned “Yami ni Goyoshin”

On July 2, Yamauchi Keisuke will release his new digital single, “Yami ni Goyoshin.” The song serves as the July – September ending theme for the Fuji TV anime series “GeGeGe no Kitaro Watashi no Ai Shita Rekidai GeGeGe.”

“Yami no Goyoshin” was written, composed, and arranged by Shiina Ringo. This collaboration came about when Keisuke asked Ringo, who was his senior in high school in their hometown of Fukuoka, to produce the song. The finished product features lyrics and a melody that exude a traditional Japanese atmosphere, a band sound, and wind instruments. He sees the song as a gift for his 25th anniversary.

During the song’s recording, Ringo requested that Keisuke sing in a different way than he normal does, with using growls and shaking it. The end result is a new style of song for him.

The music video for the song has now been released, and can be seen below!
