On April 6, girl group XG announced on their official Twitter account that two remixes of their 3rd single “SHOOTING STAR” would be released on April 7 at 12am in each timezone. The first version is the ‘Bars Remixx” which features American rapper and singer Rico Nasty, while the second is titled “Chill Remixx.” Both versions were made by XG’s producer Simon ‘JAKOPS.’
On the same day, it was revealed that their song ‘LEFT RIGHT’ was able to peak at #35 on the US Billboard Pop Airplay chart, making them the first Japanese female artists to do so.
Since debuting in March 2022, XG have been identified as a global group that wishes not to confine themselves to one specific music industry. ‘Bars Remixx’ featuring Rico Nasty is the group’s first collaboration with a Western artist.
