Major Japanese TV broadcast station TBS has formally stated that they will continue to work and allow Johnny’s talents to appear on TV shows as they continue to work with the beleaguered agency to rectify the situation.
TBS President Sasaki Takashi has stated that his staff had sent a request for further specifics on exactly how victims would be compensated and the exact procedures the agency will implement to prevent this abuse from happening again. In addition, the broadcaster will continue to regularly receive updates on the situation so that they can continue working with Johnny’s in compliance with their own ethics.
In the interim, he has firmly stated that all programs that have cast Johnny’s talent will continue as they are, contingent on the promised improvements and changes actually taking place.
While there was a short statement made about the failure of the media to report on the abuse, there was no further information given on how the media would also prevent their own failures going forward.
