Perfume is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of their formation, as well as the 20th anniversary of their major debut. As part of this celebration, they will release the concept album “Nebula Romance”, which will be released in two parts, a first half and a second half.
On October 30, “Nebula Romance Part 1” will be released physically. This will be preceded by the digital release on September 20, the day before their major debut anniversary. The album will include the previously released songs “Love Cloud” and “Sumikko Disco”, as well as new eight other new songs. These include “The Light”, which Perfume debuted on their Asian tour this summer, and “IMA IMA IMA”, which serves as the theme song for their’s exhibition “Perfume Disco-Graphy 25 Nen no Kiseki to Kiseki.”
“Nebula Romance Part 1” has the concept of the soundtrack to a film set in space starring Perfume. This concept is reflected in the titles of the album’s new songs, such as “Cosmic Treat”, “Starlight dreams”, and “Mobius.”

In related news, on September 21 at 9 PM JST, Perfume will stream a special concert from their exhibition, “Perfume 25th & 20th Anniversary Live Performance “IMA IMA IMA” Powered by NTT.” As the concert’s title suggests, it is a collaboration with NTT, who will use their 3D transmission and reproduction technology to give viewers a experience that blends the real and virtual worlds.
