Actor Murakami Nijiro has been referred to prosecutors on suspicion of domestic violence. He allegedly severely assaulted his live in girlfriend four times in his Shibuya home in 2024.
Reporting today says that Nijiro allegedly grabbed her hair, slammed her head against a window, and punched her in the face, causing serious injuries which took more than a month to heal.
The victim went to Tokyo Metropolitan Police earlier this year, which led to Nijiro being questioned. During this questioning, he reportedly told police, “There’s no doubt that I injured her.”
Nijiro, the son of actor Murakami Jun and singer UA, gained popularity for his role as Chishiya in the Netflix adaptation of “Alice in Borderland.”
