LDH JAPAN & CDL Entertainment announce the disbandment of MOONCHILD after one year since debut

On Wednesday April 24, LDH JAPAN & CDL Entertainment announced on the official LDH website that 5 member girl group MOONCHILD will be disbanding at the end of the month, just shy of their first year anniversary since debut. In May of last year after some delays, MOONCHILD made their debut with the EP “Delicious Poison” after being formed on the survival show iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~‘s (2022) girls division. The group had caught attention before they debuted for being co-produced by Hybe Labels Japan.

In the statement, LDH revealed that after discussions with the members and staff about the future of the group, the decision was ultimately to disband. Members MIRANO and ANRI will continue as artists under CDL and be included in future projects while Ruan will focus on songwriting and producing under the guidance of LDH. UWA will leave LDH and CDL and will go back to being a professional dancer and HANA will leave the entertainment industry to focus on studies.
