Ken Miyake Reflects on 30 Years of Being an Idol with “iDOLING”

On January 29, Ken Miyake will release his new digital single, “iDOLING.”

The song was written and composed by Micro of Def Tech, and is a sequel to their 2010 collaboration, “Kanashii Hodo ni A・I・Do・Ru”, Ken’s solo song from V6‘s album “READY?” According to Ken, that song itself was envisioned as a 2010 version of Koizumi Kyoko‘s 1986 hit “Nantettatte Idol.” “Kanashii Hodo ni A・I・Do・Ru” displayed Ken’s feelings on his career as an idol, from the age of 15 to then.

After many phases, Ken has now reached 30 years of being an idol, with “iDOLING” being a new expression of his feelings on his career as an idol. Since “Kanashii Hodo ni A・I・Do・Ru”, V6 has disbanded, he started his solo career, he left the company then known as Johnny & Associates, and transferred to TOBE. What impact has this had on him? His new song expresses all of it. Check it out below!
