Japan Weekend Box Office 04/07 – 04/09: “Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia” Is Still On Top For 3rd Consecutive Week

 

The weekend movie box office ranking from April 7th to April 9th has been released and still on top after 3 consecutive weeks is “Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia” which earned 166,000 moviegoers and a box office revenue of 204 million yen over the weekend. The accumulated total has now exceeded 3.24 million moviegoers and a box office revenue of 3.8 billion yen. In second place, “My Happy Marriage” had 101,000 moviegoers in attendance with a box office revenue of 140 million yen. Newly released films that were able to rank within the top 10 include domestic films “My Beautiful Man: Eternal” and “Baian The Assassin: Volume 2” and Hollywood film “Air.” 

 

New BL film “My Beautiful Man: Eternal” starring Riku Hagiwara and Yusei Yagi debuted in 3rd place with 97,000 moviegoers and a revenue of 142 million yen. The story is adapted from the novel “He, Who is Beautiful” by Nagira Yuu.
