Former AKB48 member Honda Hitomi, who initially was under Production Ogi affiliate and subsidiary Mama & Son, has finally announced the end of her contract with the agency as of the end of April. The member graduated from AKB48 earlier this year.
Stating that they wished to respect her wishes about embarking on a ‘new journey’, the two have come to a mutual agreement terminating her agency employment. She had been with the agency since July of 2022.
The considerable amount of time since the member graduated from AKB48 had sparked numerous rumors that the former IZ*ONE star was planning on redebuting in Korea, and is reminiscent of the amount of time that it took for Miyawaki Sakura to sign with HYBE after her graduation from HKT48.
