Hey! Say! JUMP Ventures into a Carnival of Darkness in “Donkey Gongs” MV

On November 27, Hey! Say! JUMP will release their new album, “H＋.” The title represents the group showing unique entertainment by going to the next level. The album is full of the group taking on new challenges, while still retaining what makes them Hey! Say! JUMP.

Group member Ryosuke Yamada is the album’s main producer, from the concept to the music to the visuals.

Hey! Say! JUMP has now released the music video for one of the album’s new songs, “Donkey Gongs.” Described as an intense and groovy dance song, it marks new territory for the group. Ryosuke was very involved in production of the song and its music video, developing it all over a long period of time, from the world view to the sets to the choreography to the costume details. He was most particular about the choreography, which was created with KAITA. Ryosuke also paid special attention to the members’ solo shots in the video, looking for ones that showcased their appeal the most.

The music video is set in a post-apocalyptic city, focusing on an amusement park. Check it out below!
