On March 14, Genki Iwahashi will release his first photobook. Genki chose Dubai as the destination for his photobook. Shot by the Los Angeles-based photographer Rasha Mosa, the book shows Genki with the city’s modern architecture, as well as the desert, the souk, and a hotel.
Looking back on the creation of his photobook, Genki said that Dubai has a different feel than Japan and the US, the two places he lives. He was inspired by the desert, the souk, along with the food and culture of the Middle East.
Genki has not revealed the name of his photobook yet, but it is coming soon! It’s based on a dish that he ate while there.
