FAKY to Go on Hiatus

FAKY has announced that they will suspend their activities on January 13, 2024.

According to a statement released on their official site, with their tenth anniversary approaching, there were repeated discussions between the group members and their staff, with the members coming to the conclusion that they should take on a new challenge. The group’s last two original members, Lil’ Fang and Mikako, will leave the group, while Akina, Hina, and Taki will focus on individual activities.

On November 15, FAKY released their final release, the EP “Departure.” On January 13, they will hold their last live at KT Zepp Yokohama.

Avex debuted FAKY in July 2013, with the intent of making the girl group popular overseas. In June 2014, they announced a lineup change and went on hiatus. They reemerged in October 2015, with several additional lineup changes since then.
