The weekend movie box office ranking from Aug 4 to Aug 6 has been released and last week’s first place ‘Kingdom III: Flame of Destiny’ keep its spot for the second consecutive week with 398,000 moviegoers and box office income of 595 million yen. Since its release it has now attracted 1.57 million moviegoers and has exceeded 2.271 billion yen in box office revenue. Other newly released films in Japan that ranked within the top 10 include domestic films “Crayon Shinchan the Movie: Battle of Supernatural Powers ~Flying Sushi~” and “Hibike! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest Hen” and Hollywood films “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” and “Elemental.”
Second place went to the newly released “Crayon Shinchan the Movie: Battle of Supernatural Powers ~Flying Sushi~” with 322,000 moviegoers and a box office revenue of 401 million yen. The film is the 31st in the series of Crayon Shin-chan films and is the first to use 3DCG animation technologies.
