From July 26 to August 6, New York’s Japan Society will present the 16th edition of JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film. It is the largest festival of Japanese film outside of Japan. This year’s JAPAN CUTS features over 25 films, including blockbusters, indies, documentaries, experimental films, short films, and anime! This year’s festival is the first fully in-person one since 2019!
This year’s JAPAN CUTS features five international premieres, 10 North American premieres, seven US premieres, three East Coast premieres, and three New York premieres! There will also be six special guests and two parties!
