Koichi Domoto of Kinki Kids has been revealed to star in the stage musical production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” which will be performed starting from October. This is the first time a Japanese version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be performed and Koichi will play the role of Willy Wonka.
Wally Kinoshita has been chosen to direct the musical, while Yukinojo Mori is in charge of translating the lyrics of each song to Japanese. YOSHIE and Naoko Matsuda are in charge of choreography, and Sebastian Masuda for art direction. The main visual was taken by Leslie Kee.
