British singer Ed Sheeran has been the center of drama as of late.
A few days ago, he and his team removed American rapper Macklemore as an opening act from his current “Loop Tour” after Macklemore made pro-Palestine statements during two performances in New Jersey, United States. The removal of Macklemore came after pressure from pro-Israel advocacy groups and concert venue owners. It also resulted in Ed being labeled as a Zionist supporter of Israel who also supports the genocide of the Palestinians. In the fallout from Macklemore’s removal, the rest of the tour’s opening acts quit the tour in solidarity with Macklemore and the Palestinian people.
Yesterday, Ed, during a concert in Philadelphia, United States, called the past week “one of the worst weeks of his life.”
But Ed does a someone who is supporting him: Taka from ONE OK ROCK.
He has used his Instagram Stories over the past day to show his support for Ed, to the chagrin of fans who are also now labeling him a Zionist and genocide supporter.
In response to this criticism, he posted another Story defending Ed.
And another.
All of this has caused fans to question who Taka really is…
