On April 25, Netflix will release its live action film adaptation of “City Hunter”, the seminal 80s manga. This is the first Japanese live action adaptation of the work.
Ryohei Suzuki stars in the film as Ryo Saeba, a playboy private detective who works with his partner Hideyuki Makimura (played by Masanobu Ando) under the name “City Hunter.” When Hideyuki is murdered, Ryo starts to take care of Hideyuki’s sister, Kaori, played by Misato Morita. Kaori becomes Ryo’s new partner in the process.
TM NETWORK has also re-recorded “Get Wild” their theme song for the 1987 anime series for the new Netflix film. Titled “Get Wild Continual”, it can be heard in the trailer below!
