Ren Meguro of Snow Man is set to star in his first drama as the solo lead! He is set to star in the TBS drama adaptation of Inagaki Riichiro and Ikegami Ryoichi‘s manga “Trillion Game.” This will also be his first TBS drama.
Ren will play the role of Tennoji Haru, the world’s most selfish man. He is liked by men and women of all ages due to his great communication skills. He appears to be a bright, upstanding man, but something else lurks under the surface. Along with the serious, yet clumsy engineer Taira “Gaku” Manabu (played by M!LK‘s Sano Hayato), he creates a company which generates a trillion dollars in an unconventional way, giving the duo the money to do whatever they desire.
Of his new drama role, Ren said, “I was so happy when I first got the offer for this role. I’ve read the original manga and the story is really interesting! I’m nervous of course since the character of Haru is pretty different from me, but I’m always up for a new challenge and look forward to entering his world. What kind of dynamic Haru and his partner Gaku will have, and of course the road they take in their quest for a trillion dollars, I hope fans of Snow Man and the manga will look forward to in equal measure, and I hope it might at some point get released overseas as well!”
