On March 11, Shiina Ringo will release her new album “Kinjite.”
The album’s title translates into “forbidden move” in English, and this album is something of that sort for Ringo. Instead of the album being full of original compositions as is usual for her, Ringo has instead outsourced that work to others for this album. “Kinjite” sees Ringo collaborating with the likes of BIGYUKI, MILLENNIUM PARADE, Kato Miliyah, and Miyake Jun.
In tandem with the release of “Kinjite”, Ringo has release the music video for the album’s opener, “Shiho.” The music video is also a collaboration, this time with the French high jewelry brand Boucheron. This collaboration came about due to Ringo’s longtime love of the brand. The video sees Ringo playing the roles of two different centaurs. Check it out below!
