Actress Nozomi Sasaki (36) has been announced to star in the new TBS late-night drama slot “Jigoku no Hate Made Tsurete Iku” on Tuesdays nights. The series, which will start on January 14, 2025, is a thrilling tale of love and hate, in which the protagonist Sachiko Tachibana (Sasaki) undergoes plastic surgery to seek revenge on the murderer of her family members. This will be Sasaki’s first lead role in a drama on the TBS network. Along with Sasaki, Shibuya Nagisa (28) was revealed to be playing the role of Reina Hanai, the killer who Tachibana vows to take revenge on.
Producer Saeko Amamiya commented, “This series is about a kind-hearted woman who is not inclined to seek revenge. The protagonist Sachiko Tachibana knows that revenge produces nothing, but she chooses to live a turbulent life for her family and for herself. I am sure that the way she confronts a huge enemy, even though her heart is torn apart by guilt and conscience, will touch the hearts of many viewers.”
