NHK Cancels Public Recording of The Shonen Club

On the 12th, NHK announced that they were suddenly cancelling the October 16th public recording of the program, The Shonen Club, which was set to air on November 10th and 17th.

They wrote,

Within NHK, we are currently planning fundamental changes both to the programming and title of the show that we deemed unable to resolve by the public recording scheduled to happen on October 16th. As such, we have opted to cancel the recording entirely.

The Shonen Club is a program that primarily features Johnny’s Jr members and performances, and started originally in 2000. From 2006, a spin off version called The Shonen Club Premium was also created.
