Naniwa Danshi’s “BON BON VOYAGE”: A Glittering Adventure of Sight and Sound!

Looking for your perfect summer soundtrack? Well look no further, because Naniwa Danshi has got you covered with the release of their fourth full-length studio album, “BON BON VOYAGE”and honestly, it’s their best one yet!

The most sparkling boys in JPop, the seven stars have set sail on a glittering, feel good musical adventure filled with rock, hip hop, and disco, sprinkled with that signature Naniwa shine and just a touch of romantic drama.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering their charm, this album feels like a postcard from paradise— begging you to join them on their journey.

Now, the entire world can enjoy the album thanks to the gloriousness of word-wide streaming!

The album opens with “The Greatest Voyage”, a breezy pop rock anthem that feels like the start of a road trip down the coast of Japan, while “Over The Horizon!” kicks things up a notch with a track that’s got the energy of an OP theme from an anime! Their latest music video, “GIRA GIRA SUMMER”, is a glittery disco-pop track that’s already lighting up TV commercials across Japan.

“Doki it” adds a punch of rock into their usual sparkle pop, and is arguably one of their most exciting tracks to date! If you’re in the mood for a late night drive, “Thrill Drive” and “Circus Night” both bring neon with a flicker of firelight and a vibe that screams Tokyo nightlife.

“Oborete Ai” is a lush, emotionally rich ballad that leans into city pop, while “moshimo” slows things down for a quiet moment of reflection. Then there’s “YUUWAKU DANCE”, a flirty, grown up groove that still keeps that signature Naniwa sweetness.

For something tender, “Because I just love you” delivers soft harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. Fans of J-Drama will recognize “Koisuru Hikari”—the touching theme song from “Koi wo Shiranai Bokutachi wa”, featuring group member Ryusei Onishi.

It is my honest opinion that “H.E.L.L.O.” is the sleeper hit of the album. With it’s smooth, dreamy synths, it has just the right emotional pull to keep me hitting the repeat button. The regular CD only version of the album includes two bonus tracks “BON BON VOYAGE” and “Seven Seas” – which are both incredibly enjoyable.

While Limited Edition 1 does not include any bonus music it does include the music videos (and making of) for “GIRA GIRA SUMMER” and “Over The Horizon!

Limited Edition 2 includes the following unit songs.

  • “Devil or Angel” (Shunsuke Michieda & Kyohei Takahashi): A seductive duet with major BL vibes.
  • “TOYSTYLE” (Ryusei & Kento Nagao): Colorful chaos and hip-hop flair—it’s like a candy shop exploded a toystore and all of the toys have come to life.
  • “ADULTY” (Daigo Nishihata, Joichiro Fujiwara, & Kazuya Ohashi): Smooth, disco-inspired and unapologetically sexy. There’s even a shower scene in the video featuring Daigo.

If you love energetic JPop with heart, “BON BON VOYAGE” is a must listen. It’s playful, emotional, and full of the personality that makes Naniwa Danshi one of Japan’s most exciting groups right now. No filler, just a front to back fun ride!

Ready to set sail? You can grab your copy of “BON BON VOYAGE” wherever Japanese music is sold, including CD JAPAN.

Safe travels, and happy listening!
