It has been announced that Nakayama Miho has passed away at the age of 54. According to investigators, she was found on December 6, collapsed in the bathroom of her Tokyo home.
Miho was set to perform the same night at Billboard Live OSAKA as part of her Christmas concert series “Miho Nakayama Christmas Concert 2024 in Billboard Live.” She canceled the performance around 2 PM that day due to poor health.
She made her entertainment debut in 1985 with the drama “Maido Osawagase Shimasu”, making her an overnight star. This was followed shortly by her debut single “「C」.” She finished 1985 with her film debut in “Be-Bop High School. One of the top idols of the 80s golden era, she focused on her acting career after 1999.
Miho revived her music career in 2019, and was set to hold a new tour next April, “Miho Nakayama Concert Tour 2025 -Un-.”
