JO1’s Shion Tsurubo To End Activities

It has been announced that Shion Tsurubo will end his activities with JO1 on December 31, when his contract with LAPONE Entertainment expires.

He went on hiatus earlier this year after illegally gambling online. During his hiatus, he, LAPONE, and the rest of JO1 held repeated discussions about him resuming activities. It was during these discussions that he made the decision to leave the group and end his contract with LAPONE.

In a statement on JO1’s official site, Shion said, “I thought about it, questioned myself, and sorted out my feelings, and I have come to the decision to end my activities at the end of my contract. I still love the members, and I also love everyone in JAM. I can’t express my gratitude enough. I will continue to support the members’ activities. Although we will no longer be able to do the same activities, our hearts are united. Thank you to everyone in JAM for supporting me and as a member of JO1 for approximately six and a half years, including the auditions. I love you all.”
