The weekend box office ranking for November 3 to November 5 saw a familiar reptilian face take the top spot with “Godzilla Minus One” debuting in first with 648,600 moviegoers and grossing 1,041 billion yen (7 million USD).”Godzilla Minus One” is the 30th live-action Godzilla film produced in Japan, and was made to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the series. Cast members include Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe and was directed by Takashi Yamazaki. Other newly released films in Japan that were able to debut within the top 10 include “Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Mysterious Child of the Patchwork Factory” which attracted 92,300 moviegoers and earned a box office revenue of 243 million yen (1.6 million USD) in the first three days of release.
