Japan Weekend Box Office 07/12 – 07/14: ‘Kingdom 4’ debuts in first place and breaks records

New addition to the Kingdom movie franchise, “Kingdom 4” topped the box office data in Japan for the July 12 to July 14 weekend. Based on the manga of the same title by Hara Yashuhisa and starring Yamazaki Kento, “Kingdom 4” welcomed 1.06 million moviegoers and over 1.6 billion yen at the box office in its debut weekend. It now has the best opening in the series’ history but also in the history of Japanese live-action films.
