Japan Weekend Box Office 03/01 – 03/03: ‘Doraemon: Nobita’s Earth Symphony’ is No. 1 at the box office

The weekend box office data for the days of March 1 to March 3 welcomed a new number one spot, “Doraemon: Nobita’s Earth Symphony” which debuted with 538,000 moviegoers and grossed 656 million yen. Other newly released films that debuted within the top 10 include Hollywood film “Argylle” in 4th place and domestic film “52 Hertz no Kujiratachi” in 6th. 

Last week’s number one, “Haikyuu!! Battle of The Garbage Dump” was bumped down a spot after two weeks, but still showed strong results with 380,000 moviegoers and 525 million yen grossed. The cumulative performance is now at 3.59 million moviegoers and 5.1 billion yen. In 3rd place was “Matching” with 88,000 moviegoers and box office revenue of 123 million yen. The cumulative results have now reached 380,000 moviegoers and over 540 million yen.
